In reference to both the Jewish Sabbath and the barrier motif, the work Weakend creates a sign·i·fi·er as a warning sign. The neon work motif is a playfull typo in the spelling of the word weekend - it changes its meaning dramatically: instead of a much anticipated end–of–the–week we find ourselves weak and facing the end.
